MileHigh,

What is your favorite candle pattern?

The so-called "doji" is an interesting candle to me. My understanding is that it's a classic reversal candle.

If you look at Pep Boys' [ticker PBY] daily chart, as an example, you'll see a doji at the bottom in the first week of October. There is a series of "dojis", "dojii" or "dojes"? [I obviously don't know what the plural of doji is] in the first week or so of December. If the doji indicated a bottom reversal in early October, wouldn't the current doji pattern be indicating a similar bottom reversal now?

As another way of looking at it - - if ONE doji candle indicated a bottom reversal [early October], do TWO or THREE in a row [early December] indicate an even stronger reversal signal?

I would like to participate in such a discussion. I am reading Greg Morris' book now and would enjoy feedback. What is the next step? Do you have some stocks to suggest? I would prefer to look at new, evolving patterns. Anyone can justify what they see on an existing pattern. Maybe we could do a watch list and make individual evaluations and predictions and see how we do?

Take a look at VLNC today. It is showing a Upside Tasuki Gap. A rare pattern. see my post on VLNC thread. Message 6762198

Warning! VLNC is a highly speculative stock.

Take a look at AMZN. yesterday ended with a bullish engulfing pattern and is up $12+ today. To late to act on this one.

Take a look at emc with a bearish engulfing pattern. Is it running out of gas and going to take a breather.

Nasdaq ends the day with a hammer. Possible short term dip on the horizon?
