TB; RE:" how OEX bounced off of 590 today ?" ...day-traders covering shorts at session close, IMHO. Looks kinda like a H&S may form; if it fails, target=200d EMA around ~DJIA 8500. The neckline is around 8850 and I got the 50d EMA around ~8750. The DJIA fell through its bullish 14d EMA 03-DEC on a closing basis, and needs to close above ~9050 to get back. MRK and WMT are out-performing DIA since 01-DEC; GE is flat; and, MO and C are under-performing. Of the 5 stocks, I'm up around $500 since 01-DEC with this (price-weighted, 100s each) mix (DIA would be at a loss). Just an experiment, really, as they all go to the tax-man in January :-( -Steve
