Andrew H,
Sorry, I didn't explain what I knew about the order numbers in my other post. On Monday, I placed 2 orders approximately 10 minutes apart. My first order number was 1425 (or something close to that), and my second order number was one more than the first. I concluded that online order numbers are in a consecutive, ascending sequence.

I guess we could ask people to post their order numbers when they buy something. If they also posted their total cost for the order we could get an average per order, too. I bet if we got 30 or 40 sales numbers we would be pretty close to the "true" average dollars spent per sale.

-Dave

Andrew You just wait in 2 weeks a lot more people searching for music
on the internet will find CompactConnection.com. I know because 3 weeks ago I placed an add in a classified ad on the internet. The following week I submitted it to only one search engine guess what I
now have more orders than I wanted.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but I asked Amy directly about the invoice #'s. They are issued randomly and have no bearing on the number of orders.

But have no fear, remember Daryl Piercy's claim of adding 2000 to 3000 costumers per day? Sounded a little overstated maybe at the time, maybe that was what held up completion of the transfer. I really don't know but maybe. Anyway the point is that imho we are about to make that number a reality. Actually may even surpass that! Add up those figures, revenues from cd sales, reloads and we will be matching cdnw for revenues a lot faster than you can imagine. But with one HUGE difference. CDNW lost .74 last quarter.

Just came from the cdnw site. On their front page is Celine Dion's latest hit "these are special times" cdnw list price $17.97, 30% off, cdnw current price $12.58. Compact connections same cd list $15.47 (I wonder why the difference, perhaps somebody here could enlighten me) cci price with card. $10.99. Hands down we are cheaper! Even tho I'm not always sure it is best to be the cheapest. Imho this 30% off sale of cdnw is a desperate ploy to get costumers this holiday season. Now what are they going to do to keep them? Desperation is a very bad sign to be showing.

Btw, it was over two weeks ago that I spoke to Amy regarding the invoice #. Things may have changed by then, afterall "the only thing constant in our society is change itself"
