Let me put that another way...........
I agree that the nets are already successful. And will continue to be. The rate at which it will continue to grow seems to be taken for granted. Net stocks felt the heat when the dow nosedived in August.

Why should it be any different in the future? Is e-commerce immune to economic downturn?

I don't know exactly which ones, but I would rather buy from someone I know, AMZN or YHOO. Name familiarity cultivates a sense of safety.

It's for this reason that I am tempted to get rid of my lesser-known Internet stocks, in particular EGGS and CNWK. I can much more easily see the day when AMZN justifies it's market cap as I can see EGGS justifying theirs. This in spite of EGGS much more "reasonable" valuation.
