Jay: If memory serves those prices you quote are comparable to what Bell Atlantic is beginning to offer in my area. As for the various possibilities enabled by the higher speeds....well....streaming video has been mentioned....but think of the potential of being able to MP3(or whatever format comes to dominate) "download" whole sets of music, movies, books, etc..... Blockbuster Video better keep their eye on this 'cause in 5 years me thinks going to a store to rent a video will be as outmoded as 8 track tapes are now. And just think of the remote access to corporate LAN's potential, eh? All of this is just my opinion, of course....

John~

Liquid Audio, TEKC, PERI, RMAG, GMGC all are possible of growing their business from faster Internet speeds.

Thanx much for the detailed answer, your business goals show some overlap with the goals of the average individual user.

Liquid Audio if I recall plans to sell CD quality music via download on the 'Net. TEKC is a maker of software for setting up online sales sites...Crutchfield is one of their customers. PERI, RMAG & GMGC are all voice recognition software companies, which target their product to different applications of voice use.
