David Stern and I had a long discussion on this topic which you may find interesting. Or, since you have a background in statistics, you may look up the books by Dixit and Pindyck called Investment under Uncertainty and by John C. Hull called Options, Futures and Other Derivatives. -Apratim. PS: I do agree that DELL is very attractively priced at this point. If I were not overweighted in DELL I would start accumulations, but looking at RMBS instead.
