Agree with you totally that "shorts" could use a dartboard approach to selected E&P companies over the past year on which to make 40% or more profit. Across the industry, it doesn't appear to me that HEC has fared worse or better than many other E&P firms. If the rest of the industry were florishing while HEC was languishing, then the floorless arguement would be more credible as an explanation. All E&P stocks have been in the tank.
