If you really want to sell them for a tax loss this year, just sell them yourself to a friend. You can sell them to him for 1 cent and take the tax loss. Hell you can even gift him the 1 cent so he can buy them.

Eldon,
It does not matter if IPM shares has any listed value or not to merge IPM with Maxam.
The last I heard of IPM shares they were stopped from trading by the SEC because they had not filed the proper paperwork for something or other, IPM to my knowledge has not yet filed the paperwork.

As far as I know the merger is on track and is doing fine.

Eldon:

Some brokers will buy the entire share holding for a nominal $1.00, in order to effect a sale that will qualify for tax loss purposes.

There are a couple of brokers up here who will deal with IPM shares and Latimer I believe is one. Your broker should be able to find e'm but I'm sure it will cost much more than what your stock is worth to do the trade.
Take a newspaper clipping of the last trade price and use that # plus attatch a copy of the paper to your certificates and nail e'm on the Li'l Abner door.

Eldon,
I will make an offer to you and to any others who would want to sell their shares of IPM for a tax right off. I will pay the last published price for any and all IPM shares that anyone wants to sell. That price was .005 per share. If you are interested send me a private post and I will send you the instructions on how this can be done.
I will be waiting to here from anyone.
