The article talked about a few million to a few hundred million. PAIR will likely go for around $1.5B IMO. We can stretch the few hundred million to include my guestimate. But a greater possibility is a strategic partnership. BTW, a FORTUNE article that ran this last summer (9/28) suggested Lucent would buy both Ascend AND 3Com. The odds were indicated as 3-5 and 3-2, respectively. Also, NN (where Pascoe is from) was given 5-1 odds of a Lucent takeover.
