P&G stock hit by soft revenue expectations

CLEVELAND, Dec 9 (Reuters) - Shares of consumer products giant Procter & Gamble Co. fell sharply on Wednesday after
analysts forecast the company's second quarter revenues would fall short of expectations.

''It's not down on earnings. It's the top line...revenues are expected to be lower than initially anticipated. But that shouldn't be that great a surprise,'' said Joseph
Jordan, an analyst at PNC Institutional Investment Services.

P&G officials were not immediately available to comment.
