"I had hoped to get more feedback on the other points in my message..."

Lots of folks on this thread pitch in to try to help, but yours didn't happen to get the reply that some did. You might do a text search in this thread for the parts you mention--virtually all of them have been discussed extensively in previous posts. I (and no doubt others) will be happy to try to field specific followup questions. Generally, buddha (welcome to the thread!) is on the right track with parts advice. I applaud his conservatism, too, on OC'ing, but in the case of the celeron 300a's, I (and others on the thread) feel an exception is warranted.

In any case, you can always buy the 300a (which will give perfectly good (300 mhz PII class) performance even when not OC'd), get everything working great, and try OC'ing later.

Good luck, and feel free to follow up.

Regards,

Dave
