I am not proposing a "doom & gloom scenario", but vulnerability to a sharp downturn. I found the article Dave pointed out to be very illuminating. Having read this, would a small investor want to buy YHOO at these levels for his future or retirement? IMO Those jumping in now, long or short are speculators rather than investors.

According to the article, it seems to say that overvaluation is common knowledge and a foregone conclusion. Its just a game now. If the small investor is becoming as savvy as you say, as time goes on this type of scenario is less likely to occur. This thread goes back for miles as does the short history on the stock. In August, shares short dropped by approx. 3 million as shorters gladly covered and probably with much relief and "I told you so's". Those that extoll the benefits of the internet on this thread (which I aknowledge) may be wise enough to see a play like this coming and in reality are speculators just like the shorts. The article states , with reference to the WHOLE SECTOR being caught in a short squeeze that
"If your long these stocks, its the payday of a lifetime. If your short its a calamity."

Slowly the present situation will unwind and "investors" will find they have bought at pretty lofty levels. All IMHO

Regards. Good luck and happy trading.
