John and red...

Does it make any sense to believe that 18,000psi of gas pressure can be overpowered by a little water? My understanding of fluid dynamics may be wrong but that water IS shooting up 200' and they AREN'T able to ignite it.

What would be the pressure under a 3 mile column of water? More than 18,000 psi?

JL

Salt content

Ask someone what the salt content is of the water. That will give us an indication of where the water comes from.
