Venezuela - Chavez the president elect easing his radical ideas and it is calming the market. Stocks such as VNT dropped to as low as 10 before the election. Their may be short term push up but be careful Venezuela reserves are down to nothing and there will be IMHO a HUGE devaluation when Chavez takes over in February. It probably will not happend before then because Caldera (current president) doesn't want a devaluation while he is in charge. Caldera want the blame on the new president. I hope that there is a big jump up in the Caracas Bolsa between now and February. I will short VNT on the day Chavez takes over. Between now and then look for big swings.
