"Privacy -- Low cost -- Small size -- Portable -- Reliable ... ISSUES" Thassico, I don't think you understand very much about this field. Privacy is not a problem, at all, for the IDX F3 technology and the Sony Puppy. It is not a problem for anybio-ID company in regards to identity theft (as opposed to potential misuse of templates). Low cost? $99 is pretty cheap, and I think there are some $75 quotes out there for Identicator technology. Beats a nonexistent GDER product all hollow. Small size? Veridicom among others has gotten the size down to where, if it were any smaller, you couldn't fit your finger on it. Same is true for the Compaq product. Portable? Compared to what? You can't get more portable than a biometric smart card, and those are out there too. IDX/IDT has them. Reliable? Identix and others have installations up and running, and are very reliable. Some stuff is in use in the National Security Agency and the White House War Room. GDER has proven nothing on this subject. Not even pilots installed. Please don't post if you don't know what you are talking about.

You can expect there to be tough competition both from a marketing standpoint and technically. Given that, the upside potential is phenomenal.
