Thanks, and your points are appreciated. If I'm not a gamer there is really no need for me to be the fastest kid (senior citizen) on the block, so the 300a or a 333 would probably be more than needed. I had not thought of anything other than the Zip but will find out what a LS120 is and can lose the Zip, floppy, and the half dozen zip disks I have. There is nothing sacred about $450 for a monitor so will look at ViewSonic etc. I have been using a 17" VS(Optiquest) for a couple of years and am very happy with it. My main concern it the heat effect in the rather small space it would have to fit in. -Don
