Galactic was one of Robert Friedland's companies. They created a huge environmental mess in Colorado and subsequently declared bankruptcy. The whole mess is still before the courts as Friendland refuses to take the blame and cover the costs of the clean-up. The state was trying to sue him but I don't know what happened to this case.

This whole thing occurred before the Voisey's Bay find.
