Fine, brees. I don't like lying, either. The adulterous papal knight Hyde had a different view on lying a few years back than he does now. But, he's non-partisan and professional on the matter, just looking for truth and justice, right? I don't like what Clinton did or what he said about it. Is it impeachable? It'd be nice if politicians didn't lie. There's never been a President hauled into civil court on a dubious suit with massive political funding on the other side before, though. I don't think it's a good precedent.

Perjury is somewhat more precisely defined than lying, and like all legal things there's a procedure for determining guilt on the matter. I don't think the normal legal procedure is what's under consideration in the current affair. Of course, the local "Clinton root of decline of the West" crowd isn't much worried about legalities, as long as the moral reformation goes forward. Not much interested in the old journalistic nicety of inserting the "alleged" for unproven crimes, either. That's politics.
