Laura--

On your trip to the Vatican tomorrow, see if you can get an audience with the Pope. Frank told me last night that Mother Teresa was going to have to move over and let me have her sainthood spot, because I finally broke down and got a dog. How could I not, seeing K's Christmas list, and the only thing on it said, "Pupe?" At least I'm no longer in line for the Cruel Mother of the Year award.... He is a cute thing....a 13-week-old Maltese. And he hasn't barked once yet.

Jill the still waiting for the first accident....

Laura,

I have to share a memorable moment of my life with you....the first time I went to St. Peter's, and stood by the railing leading down to the crypt of St Peter, and saw that beautiful gold receptacle, I got chills up and down my spine....words could not express the awe I felt.....to know his bones were there, after all these years.....

I am not an overly religious person, I went there for the art and architecture, I had no idea I would be as affected as I was....amazing....I will never forget it....

Nor will I ever forget being inside the coliseum, that experience was unnerving....I can't describe how I felt.....will never forget it....

Thank you for sharing your travels with us here....I and I think everyone else are enjoying them immensely......you have fun, eat, drink and be merry......and remember, shop, shop, shop...haahahahahah
