Sure, David. I don't know the current figures, but the last I recall, the sum of expenditures on Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, military spending and interest on the national debt was close too, if not more than, 70% of the Federal Budget. How, exactly, do you propose to cut the Federal budget by 30%? And hypothetically, as a politician, get elected?

I have no idea. To me, it is more important that they spend our money wisely, rather than trying to set a random amount which might or might not meet the Federal government requirements for funding it's operations.
