Cleveland-based Parker Hannifin Corp. (PH) told Wall Street late Wednesday it expects second quarter results, due out Jan. 19, to miss their mark.
<Picture>The industrial parts maker blamed the anticipated profit shortfall on reduced orders stemming from softness in the semiconductor industry and economic uncertainties in Asia, Latin America and Europe.
<Picture>Diluted earnings per share are expected to be 10 percent to 15 percent below the 63 cents per share Parker Hannifin posted in the year-ago quarter.
