Jon There is a very small H&S pattern in the Dow Jones 30. Right shoulder is complete. I prefer Dons reference to a stairstep formation as the prior trip up and down was more of a "stairstep" A good book for beginning into TA is "Using Technical Analysis" by Pistolese. It is a chartists book which discusses basic formations. I like it because it has many self tests. TA and charting are two different beasts, but, one must first be a good chartist to get the most use of TA indicators. ht david
