MM,

We have heard this time in and time out again and again. Don't hold your breath. Anyone on the net who is privy to any "inside" information certainly would be smart enough not to post it on the internet. Think about it. If he or she knew something we did not there is no motivation to advertise it on a public forum. I feel that there are only 2 factors now that will allow us price appreciation and they both lead to the same thing--increased MUSE sales etc. The Street doesn't want stories on Vivus anymore. All that matters is the bottom line. That being said, in the short run it will be a domestic marketing partner and increased Viagra safety concerns that will increase MUSE scripts. EU approval and subsequent new international orders will be the other thing that will eventually help return us to profitability. Vivus has proven nothing as of yet and the track record over the past 3 fiscal quarters has been poor. They need to sell more product. The market is there. The Viagra safety concerns is now increasing demand. Wilson needs to reach his goal on the partner deal or step down and let someone else more capable get the job done.

DaiS,

The Astra/Zeneca merger (according to CNBC) makes them the 3rd largest pharmaceutical company in the World behind Merk and Glaxo-Welcome.

Well at least it is good to know that tiny Vivus has the world's third largest drug company as part of its international marketing arm.

Dave, seeing that Zeneca is an English company and the new combined company will be headquartered in England can you call the company and perhaps obtain information on their future plans to market and sell MUSE. You indeed make for a good contact since you live in England and own Vivus. I am sure that information will now be more readily available than it was from Astra since there also was a language barrier between Swedish and English. Thanks.

Mkilloran, the one thing that is happening on the 10th for sure (or maybe it will be in the 11th's paper) is that the 52 week high will be listed as 15 rather than 22. As that number comes down, it is easier to break to new highs if we get a slow march upward next year.
