I think Peter Lynch used the parking lot indicator. It's a very good common sense indicator. But you need to look closer, you need to check how many high priced cars are in the executive and visitors parking spaces. Plus if there are a lot of newer cars in the employee lot, then you can assume workers are confident about future and are busy buying new trucks.
