John -- I think frozen/burst pipes in the snowbelt areas should be a consideration if electrical interuptions cause heating problems. Being without heat for a day or two is one thing. Dealing with the aftermath of of wide spread frozen/burst pipes is quite another....particularly in multi-story buildings.
