ORCL + IBM

I think a really good buyout/merger would be IBM buying out or merging with ORCL.

I think it would do IBM a lot of good being king of the database, plus they could steal MSFT market share with a breeze, with their size.

ORCL would benefit because the past quarters haven't been as impressive and it would satisfy the shareholder greatly , IMO.

The only problem would be hardcore Ellison.

Just my .02,

Matt

The price closed on the intraday high, up 1 5/8 on respectable vol. If the day were longer, we might have reached 40.

Today is a good example why we should move to an open, non-closing market where trading is reported even after the now so-called "closing hours". As it is today, we either have to subscribe to some very unreliable reporting service or wait till the next opening day to discover the opening bid. I say that tomorrow's opening bid will be tomorrow's low. Hurray for run-ups!

Joe.
