Hi Osprey

Am pretty sure Your geography is right. The map is at the office, but was looking at it tonight, prior to coming home. Jesse posted Rick Boulay's comments ealier.

Those comments were excellent.

Anyway we were reviewing MMU's positions and speculating on the contents of the upcoming NR. None of us figuered Southern Alberta.

Bruce

Hiya Osprey and all! Tonight's NR is regarding the Pinhorn property, in Alberta to the south, right along the U.S. border., right on the Sweetgrass Arch and on the Hearne craton (a craton Archean in age).

See Hearne craton/ Sweetgrass Arch map:
ewservices.com
(Marum at the southern end of AB, straddling the SG Arch)

This region is considered highly prospective for diamonds, and MMU has been in the area for several years, having staked claims long before others currently around there (again!). -- The NR states,

Marum and Roman Wall Corporation have agreed to enter into a standard joint venture agreement to explore the Pinhorn property. Roman Wall, a private corporation at arm's length from Marum and its directors, currently holds a 50% net interest in approximately 300,000 acres and a 15% net interest in 25,000 acres of the Pinhorn property. Marum currently holds a 50% net interest in approximately 300,000 acres and a 70% net interest in 25,000 acres.

This JV announcement is not that which we're expecting to hear of, with regard to the northern exploration (on the Chinchaga Terrane), as was announced to be forthcoming by the company a couple days ago. We'll likely hear of that JV, as it materializes, in the new year.

This last release is discussing a distinct deal, involving the southern AB properties, with an "arm's length" private company.
-- The Marum properties in the Sweetgrass Arch area are demarcated on the last Enersource ADP map, which was given out for free by many ADP participants.

I am glad to hear that exploration is now planned for this area. With a tight budget, I wondered how soon work would commence. This announced deal is great news. The area has been described as having real prospects, and Marum has already done a fair bit of reconn. work down there, to my knowledge. I'm also quite sure Marum has spent enough on the claims to keep them in good standing well into the coming years. As described above, MMU has interest in 325,000 acres.

PS, from the Marum website page re. the Pinhorn property:

..The expanded 300,000 acre property is located on the Archean Hearne Craton at a location which has been subjected to the uplift and extensional stresses that created the Sweetgrass Arch structure. The property contains three large scale linear magnetic features which run in a north-south direction. The eastern linear hosts several complex pipe and dike systems of lamproitic to kimberlitic composition, one of which has yielded a diamond. The existence of additional pipes is suspected on the basis of an existing aeromagnetic data set which covers about 40,000 acres. Some of these anomalies coincide with surface abnormalities and will soon be investigated by trenching and, where appropriate, followed up by drilling.
