Washington--Dec 9--Phenomenal demand for gold, silver and platinum coins
this year has been a "real challenge" for the US Mint, as the Mint grapples
with "unprecedented" demand for all 3 products at the same time, Mint
director Philip Diehl told Bridge News. The demand surge poses logistical
problems which will likely delay Jan silver coin shipments but should not

The loonie dived upon a fear of recession in Canada due to the Asian crisis. OTHERWISE how could the most recent results of growth in the Canadian economy cause the CDN $ to rise from 62.00 - 65.00 USD? We have less gold then we did then, so your point is defunct.

This is the nature of a large resource {which is picking up again, my father runs North America largest log barge, and he's going to be working thru X-mas} country.
