Anyone know what white out conditions look like?

Well let me tell you. Dawn, day, night, when ever. It means that it is snowing so hard that you can not see the road in front of you.

Yesterday it was 60° here. Now we have over 6" of snow on the ground, and expecting another 7-10 before night fall.

Heavier amounts expected where squalls persist. It's the lake effect machine pumping it out right now. gusts up to 40mph already. I have to admit I like 10' snow drifts, and while I could leave this climate today with out looking back, I like when communities come to a stand still, and state police are asking those with 4x4s and snowmobiles to call in to volunteer for emergency needs. Seems there are a lot of accidents happening on the highways as holiday travelers encountered an ice storm in advance of the snow, and now it's like a big ice skating rink covered with snow.

While I have a 4x4, I like doing my business today here at home. The snow is for fun, not to have to drive to work in.

Merry christmas folks. Gonna be a white one here.
