Hi, Greg!
You have one kick-ass portfolio listed there! One that I don't seem to see listed very often when the real quality-minded folks like yourself start listing the top-of-the-line stocks is NOKA. Ever considered it, and what are your thoughts on it? Bought some shares for my son's college fund last spring and I believe so far it has outperformed everything else in the account, including INTC. What do you think?

Greg
Another one you should look at is FingerHut FHT. It could actually be a four bagger in the next 12 months.
It is almost exclusively an internet related company. Actually it holds several internet companies such as PC Flowers. Its growth is very rapid, it actually has earnings, its PE is in the low teens. It hasn't run up like the other internets. Get ready.

Greg, I see CSCO and LU are on your first group, but I haven't seen many posts on those threads by you. The regular posters on both threads have been on the negative side lately (that is, they tend to think the stock has gotten too high). Just wondering what your thoughts are, and when do you cut back on a stock in the first group?
Thanks.

Re Superb portfolio, Greg
At the start of '97 I was looking for some stock equivalent to Dell, and not finding it. Tried Adic, rdrt, wdc, qntm,Ba,NB, maybe 20 or 30 more. Did OK on Cpq, on the first split, and on Yhoo but found no stand-outs. I even lost a bit on msft, intc( which is hard to do)Hehe

Since Dec '97 its been a whole new ball game, with very few losers
so something seems to have changed.
Question 1: Did you have any really good stuff other than Dell in early '97.
Question 2: Do you attribute any of that excellent portfolio to being an SI Member and thus mentally oriented to the tech stocks
and the discussions here which keep coming back to them?
( without the thread talk, I probably would not have rmbs, mspg, plcm, amzn,or tlab)
Sig

Greg,
Hi!!! <<I'll give you an ans. you can use, but it goes against your thinking of investing to far away from owning DELL. I have on my front trading screen that greets me every morning, the following stocks.
DELL, CSCO, INTC, LU, AOL, TLABS, RMBS, T, MSPG, ATHM YHOO, AMZN, EBAY.>>

Owned CSCO...INTC....TLABS....you know I own DELL and RMBS and AOL...I just find myself having trouble keeping track of all of them....I like the possibilities with AOL and RMBS...but, I love the future of DELL...

Best, kemble
