My condolences on the death of your beloved pet TV. And congratulations on the newest member of the M household. The TV is dead. Long live the TV.

We had one of those little black and whites in law school. Students must be the only ones who buy those. Even God couldn't watch it; He struck it with lightning one night during one of our flamboyant Virginia thunderstorms. There were sparks and smoke-it was very exciting.
The next day I hauled it into Mr Smith's TV Repair. He said, "You want to fix this thing?"

My family got its first TV in 1954 . . a 21" Hoffman
"table model". The furniture store threw in a matching
base that sort of upgraded it to a "console model". It was
black-and-white with no remote control, and only two channels
were available. Funny how something so primitive seemed
like such a big deal at the time.

OK, I think I'm caught up, 'cept for Tom, and can say goodbye now, in case you guys hear naught from me for a while. I bot smore zip discs, another box of them, last night, so I can download my limp-drive and spank it in a hearty English fashion. I only hope most of my smut and fractals will fit on them.

Since igniting the zip drive shuts the entire machine down, I know not how far I will get.

So I vacuumed the desk, walls, floor, and puter itself. This shows respect. Concern. Fear.

Intelligence?

Asta la vista, babies.
