A bit of GTNR news;

Gentner Communications Hires Conferencing Division Head, Expands New Business Development and RFM Sales

SALT LAKE CITY, Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Gentner Communications Corporation (Nasdaq: GTNR) today announced that it has named Ann Bernstein, formerly of Bay Networks, as head of the company's Conferencing division.

As division head, Bernstein will be responsible for the day-to-day direction of Gentner's conferencing products and services, as well as for identifying opportunities for strategic growth. She will focus on distribution, marketing and product development, like her counterpart, Steve Olsen, head of Gentner's Remote Facilities Management division.

"Ann has an impressive track record for results-oriented leadership, particularly within rapidly growing organizations such as Gentner, and is a welcome addition to our executive team," said Frances Flood, president and chief executive officer of Gentner. "Her presence helps us better leverage the strengths of team members and enables us to step up our business development efforts -- an essential component to Gentner's long-term success."

Kent Rogers, formerly of IBM and Siemens, will now focus on developing new distribution channels to complement Gentner's existing dealer network. He will also identify strategic partners to function as resellers of the company's products and services. Rogers has spent the last 8 months refining Gentner's existing distribution channels.

Bernstein comes to Gentner with over 15 years of experience, including high-tech management, consulting, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic change management. She most recently served with Bay Networks, a leader in the worldwide networking market and a subsidiary of Nortel (Northern Telecom - NYSE: NT; Toronto: NTL). Bernstein earned a bachelor's degree from Harvard-Radcliffe College and an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.

"It is exciting to be a part of a company with such tremendous upside potential," said Bernstein. "The markets for Gentner's conferencing products and services are poised for dynamic growth, and I look forward to capitalizing on the many significant opportunities within those markets."

Gentner has also expanded its Remote Facilities Management sales team with the addition of Jim Armstrong. Armstrong will be based in Boston, Mass., giving Gentner greater access to East Coast markets.

Gentner Communications Corporation (www.gentner.com) provides technology, service, and educational solutions for U.S. and international markets. The company has a wide product and service mix featuring remote facilities management systems, audio conferencing products, and a nationwide conference calling service.
