Jeff,

You mention CREE. Great company. I've been watching the stock
for a while and bought in in the mid 20's. It tanked like
SMTC and the other semis back during the summer(wow, what a
great buying opportunity that was). Lots of insider buying
serveral weeks ago.
CREE exceeded estimates last quarter by 30%. Estimated EPS
growth rate for '99: 73%. Earnings for next quarter were
raised 30%($0.20 from $0.16).

Quick stats:
Sales:$3.32(per share)
Market Cap: $530M
Outstanding: 12.8M
PE: 70
ROE: 17%
Debt: 0.18
Total Cash: $14M

Here's the company profile:
biz.yahoo.com

Since hitting a bottom last summer at nearly 10 the price has increased about 300%!

Telescan shows CREE in a different group. CREE was #1 in that group.

What is Gallium Arsenide? And what is it used for?
