>>why didn't you guys THINK about this 6 months ago when this puppy
was languishing in the low twenties.<<

where were you, may I ask?

>>3com investment go down and down while Craig Crawford
and other shorts were making a killing <<

Rightly so! The company screwed up big time, they
deserved it at that point. It just didn't mean that it's
intrinsic value had been lost.

>>bragging on this thread<<

correct at times

>>I am getting accustomed to "analysts" that issue
their strong-buy wisdom the day AFTER the company has
cheered the street.<<

In this case, the company still is in the "proving itself state",
so by Wall Street standards, I'd think they're taking a big
risk by prematurely believing in 3Com. Of course, a very
cautious one which they are still praying doesn't go
wrong on Dec 22.

JOE: I,like you loaded up on 3com as she headed down...I am not one who likes to short, rather buy and hold and unload when price objective is met....may go higher than my price objective is met but so what...pigs get slaughtered ! I'm going out on a limb and will make a "conservative" projection of 75-80 in 1999. Hope we make it...good luck to you...patience always rewards the wise !
