The hypocrites on the left have forgotten their Packwood/Thomas mantra that sexual HARASSMENT is NOT sex.

John, the alleged "lying to the American people" Nixon impeachment article has been bandied about before. It may have been proposed, but it wasn't voted on.

On the failure to cooperate count, Nixon never did, the final Supreme Court-ordered tape turnover, with the real smoking gun, didn't get reviewed until after the House Judiciary voted. The contents of those tapes did lead Nixon to resign instead of taking it to the House, though. Plus, we can contrast Clinton's alleged lack of cooperation with the Iran-contra cover up that never ended.

Finally, the Nixon impeachment articles had significant Republican support. Not a Republican majority, but I think 6-8 votes in the Judiciary committee. But then, the whole Watergate thing, along with Iran-contra, had something to do with electoral politics, in Watergate, and running the government, in Iran-contra. Nixon had his enemies, but he wasn't hounded by rich liberal foundations funding civil suits against him, at the same time they were funding the special prosecutor's private law practice.

Yes. I agree with your post. I just hope that Judge Johnson has also made a referral to the Arkansas Bar Association Professional Conduct Committee. Clinton should lose his legal "ticket" as well. JLA
