Can't help myself.....

Where were these righteous Republicans when the Reagan Administration sold missiles to Iran (illegal and extremely dangerous) in order to fund Contras (also illegal, in direct conflict with specific Congressional edict).

Can't remember hearing these same individuals talking about morality or a civil society depending upon rule of law at that time in regards to a much more serious crime.

Perhaps I'm forgetful. Or perhaps this is all party politics.

I say no more.

Peter

>>The people
knew exactly what Clinton was about when they called him back in in 1996, it was
about "the economy stupid" not high morals.<<

zeev, i think everyone knew clinton was a ho. i think most didn't think he was a blatant liar, though it was obvious to me. however, i don't think anybody (except all the republicans who didn't vote for him ;-) thought he would engage in feloneous (sp??) activity.

this isn't about sex it is about an ongoing plan to commit perjury.

is the office of the president of more value if we set a precedent where the renter of said office can commit perjury or other feloneous acts and not be held accountable?

by the way, the will of the people is now being expressed in congress - remember, we elected them. like it or not. i'm not sure if i like the idea that the pseudo end justifes the means view, ie, the economy is good so we don't care about law breaking in high offices.
