Concerning high mileage. This is probably cheating though. My 1986 Volvo has 218000 miles and the oil was a beautiful honey color after 7000 miles. Just switched to Mobil 1 as I had to have the front seals replaced. Warning though the PVC was plugged which caused that failure.
I also have two 1988 Mitsubishi vans with 165k and 172k respectfully
they both have the god awful 2.6l engines and the oil turns coal black within minutes of operation. If anybody has any info on them I would love to hear it.
My favorite vehicle is my Toyota 8200 2wd p/u. I bought new nine years ago and have only replaced the fuel filter and had the front end aligned on it. Definetly my best buy. I'm a third generation gear head and if anybody needs wants to shoot the breeze about iron from the 30's to the present I'll oblige
