Lot's of weird alliances happening with the portals. cbs.marketwatch.com ******* The array and number of goods available for purchase online has exploded feverishly in recent months, as retailers of all stripes have rushed to the Web to peddle products as varied as Vintage Barbie and DNA-extraction kits (from onions). The pace at which e-commerce alliances have been formed has picked up with the holiday retail season. Now there's even clean water for sale. Innovative Medical Services (PURE) said it opened an online store on the Yahoo! (YHOO) store, where it'll sell residential and pharmacy water filtration systems. See press release.
