Just had a chance to read the IBM article david. I notice Hublink (HDIE) is mentioned in the article

But other capabilities are needed on top of MOM for a truly integrated solution. Message-brokering is an approach to Enterprise Application Integration that is winning wide support from leading consultants and industry experts. A large part of this issue is dedicated to looking at message- brokering, including a focus on independent software vendors such as NEON and HUBLink, who are building message-brokering solutions on top of MQSeries.

The IBM article linked this old piece

New OM3 Message Broker from HUBLink
Columbus, Ohio-based HUBLink, Inc. has put its new OM3 Message Broker on general release. OM3 integrates closely with MQSeries to provide a range of high-level brokering functions between business applications.

HUBLink, an IBM BESTeam Premier Partner, was founded in 1992 to develop message broker software for integration of heterogeneous enterprise computing environments. HUBLink says its new OM3 Message Broker gives organizations the ability to link and orchestrate information between disparate systems, so that complex business processes and value-chain relationships can be emulated and changed quickly and dynamically, without the need for programming.
OM3 Message Broker operates with MQSeries as its secure messaging layer to add higher functions such as anonymous publish-and-subscribe and dynamic data manipulation and transformation. In addition, OM3 provides a library of interfaces that allow linkage between a range of new and legacy applications, such as SAP and Oracle, as well as the major communications protocols, such as TCP/IP or SNA. There is also a collection of pre-configured transformation scanners for message standards, including X.12, EDIFACT, HL7, and others.

Mark Shary, HUBLink President, says, "OM3 Message Broker provides a reliable and rich, easy-to-use solution for enterprise application integration which we believe sets new standards in functionality and value. Hundreds of mission-critical implementations of our products over the past five years stand behind the new OM3 Message Broker."

HUBLink claims the object-oriented component design of OM3 allows for unlimited scalability through the distribution of functional components that include:

OM3 XFormer, an intelligent data manipulation and transformation engine.

OM3 Rules, a routing engine for the distribution of messages. OM3 Rules has both business rules, to apply arithmetic and logical operations to a message and its distribution, and Publish and Subscribe rules, to route specific data to systems that require that information.

OM3 Web, which connects legacy systems to the Internet and transforms and moves messages between the various environments.

OM3 Bridge, which spans the gaps between IBM MQSeries and unlinked systems and applications.
In addition to the pre-built libraries of protocol and application adapters, OM3 Message Broker features a Universal Adapter - a set of tools designed to allow configuration, with no programming, of OM3 and its components to new application or message standard environments not already covered by the included libraries.
OM3 Message Broker is initially available on Windows NT and various UNIX platforms.

Application Integration Vendors support MQSeries
MQSeries is widely recognized as the industry's leading Message-Oriented Middleware solution for Enterprise Application Integration. Major third-party vendors have endorsed this position by building MQSeries compatibility into their products. Below we highlight some of the key players in Enterprise Application Integration software, and their relationship with MQSeries.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Century Analysis Inc.
CAI's TDM (see also the user story on Yorkshire Electricity on pages 12-13) product is positioned as a non-invasive central hub within an MQSeries network, performing data transformation, storage and message delivery. CAI claims to have a highly scaleable solution due to a flexible design, which it says can process thousands of transaction per second. TDM runs on Unix, NT and Tandem.

HUBLink Inc.
HUBLink's OM3 Message Broker (profiled on pages 18-19) operates with MQSeries as its secure messaging layer to add higher functions such as anonymous publish-and-subscribe and dynamic data manipulation and transformation. OM3 provides a library of interfaces that allow linkage between a range of new and legacy applications, such as SAP and Oracle, as well as the major communications protocols, such as TCP/IP or SNA.

New Era of Networks Inc. (NEON)
NEON has developed MQIntegrator (see profile on Pages 14-15) from its NEONet product, a message broker for Enterprise Application Integration across disparate platforms, databases, and applications. NEON claims MQIntegrator is particularly effective in high-volume, high-performance business environments. Performance of the rules engine has been noted as a product strength. NEON is adding support for more packaged out-of-the-box formats such as SWIFT, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Remedy, etc.

VIE Systems Inc.
VIE's COPERNICUS provides value-added MQSeries message translation and message handling capabilities, defined by the COPERNICUS GUI, for application to application integration. The information to be shared is identified by the user in the messages coming from the normal source application output. The user maps the shared information to target application messages. The actual translation is carried out by methods embedded in COPERNICUS.

And now for something completely different. HDIE is advertising on the web.
I just ran across a banner ad for OM3 Message broker at messageq.com
It may take 3 reloads to see it, as it is in rotation with ads from TSI, CAI, and IBM.

It's good to see some direct sales activity.

Go HDIE!!!
