Description of "Millennium Butterflies", leading edge of Y2K panic

So much for Y2K being a 100% fraud... Some money managers must believe in it, otherwise the yield curve would not have this distortion.

When the year 2000 rolls over, all the Y2K doomsayers are going to be posting every news clipping about every bug that Y2K has caused. They will be saying" See, we told you so."

But what about all the bugs and disasters happening now and in the past. Just last week San Francisco had a city wide loss of power due to workers accident. In Canada, a hospital lost all power, even back up power wouldn't work, because of a breaker that was switched off.

Yes I know most of the problems are going to happen at the same time, but I believe critical areas will be extra staffed in case of any problems.

There are bugs in software we have to deal with every day, there are disasters we deal with every day. Don't you think power companies are going to be full staffed on Dec.31/99?

The world will survive Y2K.

Why doesn't anyone post Yardeni's predictions after his recession prediction? If my memory serves me correct, he said the Dow would hit 15,000 by 2005. I guess Y2K cultist don't like positive news.
