Toymax Creates Hot Seller for this Holiday Season

- Arcadia(TM) Skeet Shoot #1 Selling Boys' Toy at Toys R Us and Other Retailers -

PLAINVIEW, N.Y., Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Toymax Inc., a wholly owned
subsidiary of Toymax International (Nasdaq: TMAX - news) and maker of the
well-known Laser Challenge™, the ultimate home laser game, has created another great
action game that is a hot holiday seller. Several industry experts are naming
Arcadia™ Electronic Skeet Shoot Game System as one of their hot picks of the
season.

''Sales for Toymax's Arcadia Skeet Shoot are very strong this holiday season,'' said
David Niggli, executive vice president, merchandising, FAO Schwarz. ''It's a
true breakout item.''

Arcadia Electronic Skeet Shoot brings all of the fun and excitement of a popular
perennial sport, indoors for the whole family. No messy pigeons, clay or otherwise,
to clean up after. The game projects images of ducks on a wall that kids, ages eight and
up, target with a light-sensing rifle. It features nine different functions, five
exciting games and skill levels from beginner to expert so that players can change level
of difficulty as they master the game.

''Arcadia Skeet Shoot is a great family action game that creates a live video game in
your own living room,'' said Chris Byrne, editor, Playthings MarketWatch.
''The game provides precision play for kids in an indoor atmosphere and parents will
want to join in on the fun too.''

The game provides realistic digital sound effects, a ''kickback'' rifle, and a simulated
laser scope. The automatic scoring allows for team challenges and can handle
up to nine players to add to the fun.

The system retails for approximately $70 and is sold with one rifle and skeet duck game
cartridge. The Accessory Rifle, sold separately (approximately $20), allows
players to turn the Arcadia Game system into a head to head challenge. Additional game
cartridges will be available in 1999.

''The Toymax Skeet Shoot looks like it will be the sleeper toy for boys this holiday
season,'' said Jim Silver, editor, The Toy Book.

Toymax (www.toymax.com) creates, designs and develops innovative and
technologically advanced toys, such as the Arcadia™ Electronic Skeet Shoot game
system, R.A.D.™ Robot and Mighty Mo's™ vehicles, that promote fun and creative
play. The Company's award winning brands include Laser Challenge™, Metal
Molder™, Precious Metals™ and Creepy Crawlers®. Toymax is headquartered in
Plainview, NY and its products are available at retailers worldwide.
