TA, most definitely has its limits purely based on mathematical probability, and I have always said that strong news/fundamental changes OVER-RIDE technicals.

Hello Donald, but will FA tell you news is going to come out on a stock quicker that TA?

Just pick most any stock that has had news lately and see if there was not changes in the techincal aspects of the chart before the news. Not every time but FA is not 100% either.

Monty

Donald, I am in full agreement with you. On daily basis I am using TA for trading. The issue I wanted to bring up is those unexpected move wen a company anounces and it goes both ways up or down.

All my intention was to warn the novices not to rely to much on TA specially that I publish my scan daily which are pure TA scans.

Those that backfired did not get the whole picture neither my good intention.

One other example contradicting TA is HWP chart before earnings. OBV was positive toward earnings.
