Thanks for the link Jeb, I am pleased to see that Mr. Lynch's ideas are making the rounds. If you don't mind, I'll make my response on this thread.

First, a better term than "anti-doomsayers" or "normals" for folks that are not sucked into the Y2K hype is "Bump in the roaders".

No sense of humour?? That surprises me a great deal. In fact, that is a charge which seems to fit the TEOTWAWKI crowd far better. Have you had any good yuks on Gary North's page lately? How about that comedian Ed Yourdan? And those survivalists - I bet they are packing an emergency supply of whoopee cushions and joy buzzers in their bunkers - what a bunch of cards!

Tell you what Jeb, have a look at home1.gte.net and tell me what you think. A bit stale, admittedly, but if you find something better amongst the doom and gloomers, I'd be delighted to hear about it.

I do agree with you, BTW, that the name calling gets a bit much sometimes. Pollyanna. Chicken Little. Ostrich. Cassandra. Ignorant denalist. Gullible twerp. And so it goes. Oh well, doesn't quite rise to "You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! I'll tickle your catastrophe!" (Henry IV, part 2) does it?
