jwk, << passive solar house >> But is the sun still going to shine after y2k. <gg> I'm on propane, but have 2 wood burning stoves, one upstairs and one down, each capable of heating the entire house. O.K. pollution, I know, but the jet stream moves the smoke from my lovely home here at 9000 ft in Colorado over to the east coast where it belongs. :-) Also on a well, but a generator is in the near future to keep the pump running. Food no problem. Garden in summer and about everyone I know has enough elk and deer in their freezers to feed the neighborhood. I don't hunt much, but am extremely competent should the occasion arise. --- Larry
