However, with ADSL you don't have to share your "bandwidth" with anybody else. Therefore, you don't have to worry about getting a slower connection just because all of your neighbours are also using their cable internet connection at the same time as you. The catch with ADSL is that you have to be close enough to one of the "stations" to get it... I think there is a limit of something like 1 mile of wire length? People who live in major cities likely won't have a problem.. people in smaller towns or in the country might not be able to get it.... Overall, if they have the service running up to speed, it should match cable... and as cable gets more subscribers, it could be faster (just due to congestion on the shared "bandwidth" that cable uses) Chad
