Orbit,

Is it too late to return the fan?

No, but I don't have a problem proceeding as I outlined. The external fan I've got blowing into the case is a tad loud but is has cooled the vidcard nicely. (Thanks for that suggestion Sean I think?) So, I want to drop the decibels in a short time frame: not gonna wait for a mail order. I am also moving toward putting the sides back on the case before it gets full of dust. Also, I don't think I've seen a squirrel cage fan which has the right plug. I rather thought the plug would fit something inside my case but picked up the extension cable as a just-in-case. Mostly curious as to what that plug fits although I'll admit my description is pretty sparse.

Thanks,
Paul

Has anyone ever heard or have this particular cooling fan. Any opinions??

My Seagate Medalist Pro ST9410 is running quite hot and I could use additional HD/case cooling.
