I guess it can happen, and I've seen it with a select few other <$5 stocks too. For BANY it may work since it doesn't appear to be a terribly "controversial" stock. I will admit that the stocks I saw this attempted on were highly controversial stocks like RMIL and TVSI, and the webmistress was quite diligent about booting those threads back into the "$5 & Under" forum (do a scan for RMIL and tell me how many threads you find. All of them in $5 & under, but many of them originally created in Misc. & in Coffee House as traders tried to make them hit the hot-stocks list). Of course given the wars that were waged on those threads, I guess I wouldn't be surprised to find that the shift was done at the request of individuals who were, putting it politely, "less than bullish" on those stocks. I guess in the end there's no harm in trying except that I see BANY's slow steady progress as a good thing and would be concerned that making the "hot stocks" list would cause a huge but unsustained surge in volume and price. This in turn would burn a lot of people and permanently turn them off of BANY, or worse yet, make them "less than bullish." The result of that of course is a thread full of disgruntled doubters and naysayers who turn our otherwise peaceful and profitable experience into a war zone. Been there. Done that. Wouldn't want to bring it upon us.
