I Agree........ wordy today huh? gg I have a story in that line of thinking that is supposed to be true, but I am sorry I do not remember the names involved. The original story was pretty long but I will just hit the high spots. At the end of a long week in a conference, a Greek man was asked , "what is the meaning of life" . The man went back to his childhood days and remembered that as a youth during the war, the Island of Crete where he lived was about to be over run by enemy forces. The options were few. You either left the Island or you stayed and risked capture and execution. Well his family left. Some did not and they died. But when the Islands were taken back, and the families were allowed to move back, there was nothing left. The Island had been raped of any good things and the only things left over were the trappings of war, such as old trucks, blown up military equipment and the like.As they had nothing, he said he and his friends found an old military cycle and they rode around on it. He said he looked one day, and there in the broken headlight carrier was a piece of reflective glass from the old light. He took it and sort of polished it up, and when you held it up you could reflect the sunlight , like a mirror. And so he would shine it around on different things and into dark places etc. Then, at the conference he took that same piece of glass out of his pocket which he had had since his childhood days, and held it up to show it and as it was reflecting around because of the lights, he told the audience that this is the meaning of life: I am not the light. I am only to reflect the true light around in the dark places. Good example IMO of what a Christian is to be doing. dan
