Len,

Bloomberg has the press release @ -0.03 earnings. I'm more concerned about revenue, year-to-year improved but the last quarter wasn't too hot, but was expected and I think the current price pretty much reflects the expectations.

This company is going through the same problem DSC Communications went through a few years ago. Taking all into account, including the high regard for their DWDM products (according to those who work in the business), I'd say the share price in a few days will be pretty much where it is now. I couldn't see a buyout past the mid 20's at their current state of earnings, however I'd have have to go back to look at the DSC buyout to see what kind of premium might be involved. Anyone have an idea on this?

I have a small long position in CIEN and plan on keeping them for awhile. I think the daytraders will be disappointed in this one for awhile and that will keep the share price depressed. However, I've been wrong on these things before.
