Yes, Penni. I am also afraid of knives, specifically in chopping. I wash dishes, stir, open, add, get, sniff, spoon, serve and store and put away, while she thinks, creates, shops (mostly cuz of my nerves), and chops. It's that darn paying attention thing. But her piles of stuff are perfect. She admits she could go faster if she were.......looser.

Also, when I was about seven, my mother, who (whom?) I loved dearly at the time, cut herself "good", and bled into the water running down the sink. I can still see it swirling away.

That'll do it. I've been venal verdis ever since.

BTW, I mentioned the British sidecar ladies to MJ and she said, "I know about them. You're not the only one who has friends who watch TV."

Gee, she was smiling at the time, not snippy like it sounds.

BTW-2, my mother sounds and acts, exactly, I mean precisely, as Julia Child. Honest. Uncanny weird, that is.
